Morgan Ashley Cochran

Morgan Ashley Cochran, 25, passed away Tuesday, Oct 29th in her Virginia Beach home. Born in Norfolk, VA, she was the daughter of Angela Cochran of Newport News, VA and the late Lewis Tynes. Morgan was the beloved granddaughter of Josephine Russell and Brenda Cochran and niece to a wonderful loving uncle, Vincent Russell. 

Morgan graduated high school through home school assistance from Young Musicians of Virginia. She earned her Science of Associates Degree from Richard Bland College and a Bachelors of Science from the University of Virginia at Wise. Morgan was an accomplished violinist and played drums, guitar, piano and participated in ballet and tap dancing. After college, Morgan served in our country with AMERICORP and Peace Corps in Tanzania, Africa. 

Morgan was dedicated to Christ as an infant. She was water baptized and given membership at Kempsville Presbyterian Church. Morgan loved serving and helping all of God's People. She did short term missions in Columbia, South America. She volunteered to serve the homeless and soup kitchens in Norfolk Union Mission. She would spend summer in Wisconsin at camp that aided with the mental and emotional challenged. She loved traveling and fishing.

Her presence will live on in the lives of those she touched. Well done faithful servant, Morgan. May your spirit of kindness, courage, dependability, faithfulness and volunteering live on in each of us. 

She is also survived by her brother and friend, Samuel Cochran and sister-in-law, Ashley Cochran; precious niece, Serenity; nephew, Samuel, VI. Morgan also leaves behind: her first loving, kind, understanding child caregiver, Ms. Phyllis Shannon; great aunts and uncles, great-great aunts and uncles and a score of cousins.

Galatians 6:10 (NIV): "Therefore let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to a family of believers."

Memories last a lifetime only if you share them.
