Layla Mari Cook

Layla Mari Cook was born May 5, 2017 4am at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Layla passed gently in the arms of Jesus on September 16, 2018 were the angles are rejoice and celebrating. Layla was a very happy baby who had such a enlighten smile that lit up a room and warm the hearts of anyone who come in contact with her.

 Layla presence brought much joy to others, at such a young age she was very adventures, entertaining, loving, and wise upon her years. She didn’t mind sharing with others and loved pizza and french fries, her favorite colors were purple and yellow. Layla favorite TV show was Elmo and Layla loved her build a bear. Layla was excited to attended My Joy Learning center. Layla favorite subject was art and craft and she really enjoyed story time. Layla loved playing with her sibling, although she was the tiniest she made it known that she was the boss. Spending time with grandma and grandpa was rewarding knowing she would always get HER way. Layla loved swinging on the swings and sliding down the slides. Layla’s favorite phase was “NO NO NO DON’T OPEN THAT DOOR” (while moving her finger from side to side). Layla will always be celebrated, loved and deeply missed.

As Layla took her wings, she leaves behind her twin sister Lola Rose Cook, her beloved mother Jessica Coley, her loving father Donovan Cook, brother Nahlije Cook, Sister Nalaya Cook sister/best friend Isabella Coley, great grandparents Lillian Wilson and Isaac Wilson, grandparents Richard and Tanya Davis, father parents Connie Cook and Mr. Parker, uncles Jermaine Coley, Trenton Coley, Alvin Royster (dink), godmother Karnea Washington, and a host of family and friends.
