Keara Whitaker

August 30, 1993 — May 3, 2021

Keara Whitaker a loving mother, granddaughter, daughter, sister, aunt, niece & friend, passed away peacefully on Monday May 3rd, 2021. She was the daughter of Gary & Alberta Whitaker, Sr. of Concord, NC. Keara was born in Norfolk, Va. On August 30th 1993. Keara grew up the product of many public school systems but enjoyed her time most at Indian River High School in Chesapeake, Va. before earning her diploma in the Cabarrus County School System from Northwest Cabarrus High School. She enjoyed being a cheerleader and participating in theactrics and drama while attending the public school systems. Keara accepted Christ at an early age while at the Rhema Word Christian Outreach Ministry in Augusta, Ga.

In October of 2018 she gave birth to her only child, Master Knolan Reese Whitaker on the 3rd. She loved being a mother and watching him grow, play and learn through her tutelage. Alberta can attest to many nights of face timing Keara as she showed her mom Knolan reciting his number, ABC’s and colors. Keara loved life, people and family gatherings. She loved to set up cookouts and just wanted people to come and enjoyed themselves. She always enjoyed just hanging out with her mother, while shopping, getting massages, hair and nails done, but many times she loved just hanging out on the couch watching movies. She enjoyed that special bond they had together. She was instrumental in the up bringing of her siblings lives as the big sister. They looked to her for advice, comfort and a good time. Keara and her father enjoyed many days reflecting on family heritage and wanting to learn more about who and where her linage came from.

Keara is proceeded by her paternal grandfather Matthew E. Whitaker Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memory to her only son, Knolan R. Whitaker, her parents, Gary & Alberta Whitaker Sr., her brother Gary Whitaker Jr., her only sister Jayla Whitaker, her youngest brother Jonavon Whitaker, her maternal grandparents Reuben and Deloris Clarke II, her paternal grandmother Addie Whitaker, her niece Neaveh and nephew Javier, aunts and uncles, Reuben & Linda Clarke III, Chris & Janice Clarke, Augustus & Anita Copeland, Curtis and Evone Choice, Micheal & Carolyn Eure, Mathew & Carolyn Whitaker, Jr., Jeffrey Whitaker and a host of loved relatives and friends.
