James Lee Thrower, Jr. “Poochie” of Brunswick County, transitioned on a somber day in Norfolk. Born into the world in 1961, James always loved being around family and friends until his final breath departed him on February 22, 2024. James was the son of the late James Lee Thrower Sr. and Clara Lee Thrower.
James’ love for his family and friends including the four-legged furry ones had no bounds or limits. He will be remembered for being a devoted brother, uncle, and friend. He just loved to get up and go with his furry children (Money & Precious) by his side. He would often travel to Richmond like it was his second home. Before hitting the road, James would always ensure his furry children were as comfortable as possible. He also loved fishing. He was without a doubt the Grill Master for family and friends.
James will undeniably be remembered for his love for family and friends, his grilling skills along with his never-ending love and devotion for Money & Precious. Not only for road trips in the Ford Ranger but he always made sure the temperature was perfect for Money & Precious.
He was a long-time employee of Conley Brothers and continued working for the company until 2020.
While James may have departed this world, he will forever abide in the hearts of his surviving family members: Two brothers Carnell Thrower and Leon Thrower both reside in Norfolk, Virginia. Two sisters Mrs. Brenda Vaughan (Rodney) of Norfolk, Virgina and Mrs. Sheryl Washington (Kenneth) of Virginia Beach, Virginia. James will also be missed by a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
