Jacqueline Lee Gregory

Jacqueline Lee Gregory peacefully departed this world at home 27 May 2019, lovingly surrounded by family and friends. The baby of the family, “Jackie,” as she is        affectionately known, was born 3 December 1964 to  William H. Basnight and Mary E. Snowden Basnight.

Jackie was a wonderful person to know and to be around. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for you.  She was a good cook and really loved to cook and entertain family, friends and others. She simply loved people and having them around her. She especially loved babies, human and animal. She usually had no less than one dog and cat each. Her beloved Chihuahua, “Chi-Chi”, went everywhere with her until she (Chi-Chi) passed away.

There was nothing Jackie couldn’t do when she put her mind to it. She was a hardworking woman. Even when her health began to fail, she put a smile on her face and kept going. We  have really lost one of the good ones.

Jackie was predeceased by her parents: following her beloved mother only two months and five days earlier.

Jackie leaves to cherish her memory her daughter     Candis Johnson and her son William Basnight (Lee-Lee); two sisters, Mary Basnight and Dorothy Lynch; brother-in-law Marvin Lynch; three grandsons and one granddaughter; her very special friend Roger Stevenson; two God children; three aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

It is the desire of the Gregory-Basnight family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
