StrangeProphet”

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:” 1 Peter 2:9

Frankie M. Fells Jr. departed this life on Friday November 15, 2024, in Portsmouth, VA. Frankie was one of three children born to Frankie M. Fells, Sr. and Janice Green Fells in Richmond VA. He was born on January 22, 1974. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Audrey Green and his mother, Janice Fells.

Frankie Jr. was initially educated in the Henrico County Public School System. Frankie moved with his parents to Virginia Beach in January of 1988 where he continued his public education in the Virginia Beach Public School System. Frankie completed his education with a GED.

On October 24, 1998, Frankie married the love of his life, Shavonne Williams of Virginia Beach, VA. They were married for 26 years until his death.

Frankie later completed a Concentrated Bible Study Course through Teen Challenge in Rehersburg, PA. This 13-month course was equivalent to two years of Bible College. After completing this Bible Study, Frankie came home with a new lease on life. He was excited about what he had learned, and he was sold out for Christ. Frankie fully gave his life to Christ at the New Light Full Gospel Baptist Church and was baptized under the leadership of Bishop Rudolph B. Lewis. Frankie loved working in the ministry. He stated “Ministry is who I am.” Frankie approached Bishop Lewis about teaching a class on addiction and he and Pastor Yvette co-wrote the curriculum Overcoming Addictions for the class and Frankie taught the class like no one else could.

In April of 2012, Frankie was ordained by Bishop Lewis as Youth Pastor of the New Light Full Gospel Baptist Church. As the Youth Pastor, God gave him a vision for the church. He named the Youth Church, The Strange Church based on the scripture, 1 Peter 2:9, “For we are a chosen generation…a peculiar people…”. The youth of the Strange Church were awed at learning their Identity in Christ through his Ministry, which changed their lives. New ministries were begun under Pastor Frankie’s covering; The Youth Administrative Offices, The Youth Pastor’s Aide Ministry, and The Youth Media Ministry Frankie impacted and touched thousands of lives through his Ministry, at New Light, on his job, as well as in the streets and behind prison walls. Frankie branded his name on social media as the StrangeProphet.

Upon leaving New Light, Frankie went on to become the Youth Pastor for Pastor J. L. Simpson and Relevant Church in VA Beach, VA., where he continued to bless the lives of young people there and in another section of Virginia Beach as well. He most recently ministered at Victory Gospel Chapel in Portsmouth, VA.

Frankie was employed for several years as a Store Manager for Jiffy Lube Corporation in Virginia Beach. As a Store Manager, Frankie not only led his store to be number one in the region but, the number one store in the United States.
