Delbert Lewis

On October 23, 2016, Delbert "Bert" Lewis departed this life in Virginia Beach, bound for his heavenly home where he will join his “Family Circle” waiting for him there. Bert was the son of the late Wilbert & Malveen Lewis. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his uncles, Kermit Dozier and Harold Dozier and by his aunts, Earleen Wilson, Barbara Ward, Vera Payton and Janet James. He was employed by the City of Virginia Beach Public Schools Transportation Department.

He is survived by; three sisters, Brookie Eastman and Chasta Mangum (Rodney) of Virginia Beach and Lisa Wilson (Miguel); one brother Darvin Lewis; two aunts, June Key and Glenda Graves all of Virginia Beach; his loving fiancée Azia Hoggard and her son Elijah whom adored him as “Pop’s”; and nieces and nephews.
