Cherry Kiara Louise Hamilton

January 21, 1992 — February 20, 2023

On February 20, 2023 our beloved Cherry was called home. Cherry Kiara-Louise Hamilton was born at Sentara Norfolk General on January 21, 1992. Cherry was a beautiful, intelligent, and free spirited soul. Her first experience with dance was at Evelyn Ott School of Dance, at the tender age of six, she continued dance at Lakewood Dance and Music studio with Norfolk Parks and Recreation as well as swimming, she attended Whittier Elementary(Toledo, OH) and Tanners Creek Elementary School, Norview Middle School, where she pursued track and field, and graduated from Norview High School with an advanced diploma and following graduation she obtained a license as a pharmacy technician at Norfolk Technical Center.

Thereafter, she became a licensed personal care assistant at Briggs Home Health Agency and worked with the elderly as she was a natural in taking care of others with a kind, gentle hand. Her most rewarding job was the time spent caring for her beautiful children.  In her free time, Cherry enjoyed traveling and road trips with her family. She loved trying new things. Cherry had a calming aura and a welcoming personality that was as warm as the sun and as sweet as dessert. She was a beautiful soul who loved the beach, cooking spontaneous dishes, and being her natural organic self. She was an advocate for loving yourself and always uplifted everyone’s spirit by being true.

She is predeceased by her maternal grandparents Cherry Louise Hawkins and Phillip Hawkins Sr.; her paternal grandparents Rosie Pope and Willis Pope. She is survived by her long time partner Trayvonn Davis and their children Terryonn Camore Hamilton-Davis, Carolyn Rosielou Hamilton-Davis, Tyree Cevan Hamilton- Davis, and Christian Terrell Hamilton-Davis; her devoted parents Nina Edney(Dwight) and Frankie Hamilton Sr.(Vallarie); her siblings Layla Nour Hamilton, Frankie Hamilton ll(Lauren), Benjamin Hamilton, Bria Davis, Jordyn Rose, and Christian Rose; her only nephew Frankie Hamilton lll, and a large host of aunts, uncles, cousins and family friends that loves her very much. 

Memories last a lifetime only if you share them.
